Ingredients
  

  • 1/4 cup heavy cream (optional)
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 2 ounces chocolate, shaved (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons of marshmallows

Instructions
 

  • Heavy cream and milk should be heated together in a small saucepan over low heat until the heavy cream is hot.
  • To finish, bring the liquid to a low boil and whisk in the shredded chocolate and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  • Allow the chocolate to melt completely before removing the pot from the stove.
  • Pour the hot chocolate into a milk frother and aerate it for 2 minutes, or until it is light and fluffy.
  • Fill a mug halfway with hot chocolate, then top with marshmallows and additional chocolate shavings to serve.
  • The Williams Sonoma Hot Chocolate should be served when still warm and immediately after preparation.
